Design
Nikon Macro lens is made combining 14 optical elements in 12 groups which gives commendable imaging output. The macro lens offers decent aperture range from f/2.8 (maximum) to f/32 (minimum).
Its 9 blade construction in combination with f/2.8 helps giving the desired ‘bokeh’ effect to the images as needed in portraits. You can isolate your subject from the background giving the perfect look as a portrait shot will need in just few desired aperture settings.
NIKKOR 105mm Macro lens is an AF-S VR f/2.8G IF-ED Construction which is a blend of advanced technologies including Silence Wave Motor (SWM), Nano Crystal Coat, Internal focusing (IF) and Extra Low dispersion Glass (ED) for delivering excellent close ups.
Features
The lens is made compatible to suit both 35mm film cameras and Nikon DX Format digital cameras. Particularly, the lens is being launched to meet the demands of users for 105mm macro lens coupled with SWM, VR and IF technologies.
The lens is by default Autofocus-Silent mount construction which allows silent autofocusing and ease of faster switching between manual and autofocus operations. Thanks to Silence Wave Motor which allows quicker, précised and silent autofocusing.
Assisting SWM feature, the lens is equipped with Internal Focus ensures quicker and quieter Autofocusing without changing the subject working distance; doesn’t alter focus range or length of the lens.
Nikon Micro NIKKOR 105mm macro lens is equipped with Nikon VR II (Vibration Reduction) Image Stabilization feature which ensures up to 4 stop slower shutter speed, especially needed for handheld shoots. The 4 stops slower speed allows capture at near infinity to 3m reproducing 1/30x reproduction ratio.
The enhanced VR system is the perfect tool for close up photography where you need maximum sharpness. With the technology, you can also experience ease of photographic frame creation with its stable viewfinder operation.
As the lens is created for clicking macro shots and close up images, the lens is meant to provide extreme clarity even at the nearest subject distance.
